Can I add a battery to an existing solar system?

Yes. Retrofit batteries are common. We check your existing inverter and either pair an AC-coupled battery or upgrade the inverter where needed.

Can a battery power my home in a power cut?

Only if it is installed with a backup or EPS function. Not all batteries include it, so tell us if outage backup matters and we will specify accordingly.

Can I charge the battery from cheap night rate electricity?

Yes. With a time-of-use tariff the battery can charge overnight at the lower rate and discharge during expensive peak hours.

How long do home batteries last?

Most lithium batteries carry a 10 year warranty and are rated for thousands of cycles, typically retaining around 70 to 80 percent capacity at the end of the warranty term.
